part 3: a tale of three husbands

the mister is a typical haitian…catholic, family-oriented, and driven.
more than that he’s charming, a firefighter, and a hero.
did i mention he’s a firefighter? that means by default, he’s hot.
my family isn’t exactly crazy about the mister.
he can be snarky, gloomy, grumpy, and otherwise an asshole…
we work because we’re on the same page in every way that matters.
religion. money. careers. family. sense of humour. sex.
libations. music. etc. etc. and a cashmere sweater.
i knew i wanted him at first sight.
rushed a settlement to get divorced. changed states.
inadvertantly changed careers. absolutely changed my attitude.
for every jedi mind trick i had, he had shenanigans infinity.
i’d lament to my friends, they’d say ‘leave him’.
i’d get new friends.
back & forth, forth & back.
i learned that you just can’t rush a man into anything.
5 years later, it was worth every minute.
so far this marriage has been better than the others.
good lord, i actually put work into the relationship.
i even took the man’s name…not just in spirit, but on paper, too.
mostly because it’s french & sounds pretty with my name…but still.
plus not sure if he’s better at sex, or i just figured out what i’m doing…
either way, i think I WIN.

i don’t see it BUMPCRUD

but thanks…
i wanted to change my twitter avatar.
be a member of the eyevatar club.
i took a poll…
everyone preferred that i remain a member of the assvatar club.

i don’t know why this stupid thing cuts my other eye off…

what you don’t see in this photo is joshua…my 2nd husband.
the photo was snapped using my phone on monday…his 38th birthday.
i cropped the shit out of the photo.
i was going to keep it…but decided against it.
the mister doesn’t play golf…
but there’s plenty of stuff around the house that will bash a window.
ha! just jokes.
he’s not jealous like that…i don’t think…and don’t want to find out.

i feel great.
my cold is gone.
i just had a cocktail with someone that was a great love.
if they ever let us de-plane…
i’ll be running into the arms of my greatest love.
i haven’t changed my hair, just let the black fade away…
pretty much the same way a summer bronze does.
i feel a little sad that i don’t look as much like my sisters…
i’ve always regarded them as the most beautiful women i know.
big doe eyes…silky, tan skin…shiny, black hair.
‘india clara’ is what we call it.
i might tell you more about it one day.
right now, i just look like me.
i guess i should be ok with that, right?
but we’re never happy, are we?
whatever…i don’t think i’ll be making any changes…
i just want my hair to grow back.
thanks for the input though. i was strongly considering red.

part 2½: a tale of three husbands

joshua and i were in year 2 of off/on divorce talks.
frankly, i loved the man and our lifestyle…
so it was hard to just walk away.
for everyone at his office, everything was peachy keen.
fast forward to the office christmas party.
nathalie was an attorney at joshua’s office.
she was the first lesbian i ever met that was out and feminine.
her mannerisms were still aggressive like a dude…but it was ok.
joshua was arrogant enough to believe that he could ‘turn’ her…
or maybe she just let him think it was his idea…
whatever she ended up being a guest star that night.
rule number 1…never invite a guest star that you actually know.
especially not a friend or relative and damn sure not a colleague.
she wasn’t my colleague…i didn’t really know her…so i didn’t care.
usually after a guest starring role, females hit the bricks.
something to do with the shame…
i thought it weird that she was trying to keep in touch.
she offered me friendship…seemed harmless enough.
joshua was none too happy to hear about it.
i knew she had her motives, but she was cool…in small doses.
nathalie was arrogant enough to believe that she could ‘turn’ me.
i’m open to a guest star…if she’s cool with a 68 & i owe her 1.
joshua & i had great chemistry because it was always about me.
i never did anything i didn’t want to do & was never asked.
that worked for us.
nathalie was all about reciprocity…so we had to part ways.
later on she left joshua’s office, so i don’t know what happened to her.
but she gave really great head, so I WIN.
